All of our ministries are available to anyone,
but some serve the community as a whole.

Food Bank

We operate a Food Bank (free groceries) as part of the Associated Church’s Food Bank to those people living in our area. If you are in need of groceries, please come to the Third Place on the 2nd Tuesday or Last Saturday of every month between 9:00 and 11:00 A.M.

Prime Time Community Classes

From fall through spring, HUMC offers classes on Wednesday nights (following our Prime Time supper) to anyone in the community. These classes are of general interest and are usually free. Sample classes include: Budgeting and Investing, Jewelry Making, Acrylic Painting, Book Club, and Catholicism and Evangelistic Protestants.

Bloodmobile

Several times a year we arrange for the American Red Cross to bring its Bloodmobile to the church for convenient, comfortable, and caring blood donating. Please watch the Calendar of Events for news of upcoming Bloodmobile visits. Walk-ins are always welcome.

Focus on Health

Every spring our church, along with many other sites in the area, hosts a Focus on Health fair in which anyone over age 18 may participate. Typical health screens are: blood pressure, oral cancer, visual acuity, and cardiac blood chemistry (blood chemistry requires fasting and requires payment of a minimal fee). There are also information booths about common health concerns. (Watch the Calendar of Events for the date of this year’s health fair.)
